[Y] A Stranger in A Space
The work presents the essence of human that is going to live in heterogenetic relationships with reality.
The period of life in the UK was the times that I could reflect myself. In over four years I stayed in UK, I was exposed different environments and I found my existence that couldn’t harmonize with the environments.
– The scenes of my life in UK were like the scenes of creatures that are going to live under the sea. Like the creatures can’t harmonize with our reality when they come out into outside the water, I thought that human being is the existence who is going to live in heterogenetic relationships with our reality through reflecting them. Life in UK was mysterious journey to reflect human existence. I felt that going to live in UK is like a journey towards my essence.-
I had huge inspiration from creatures that live under the sea. The scenes that they have heterogenetic relationship with our reality as outside of the sea look like my life in UK. As I feel that I was a stranger like a creature that live under the sea when I lived in UK, I think that I am an existence who has heterogenetic relationship with life’s reality. So, I expressed heterogenetic relationship with our life’s environment and me through performance vide art
In the work, the space means our reality as life’s environment. And, a model’s performance means the scenes for life of human who is going in heterogenetic relationships with reality. Octopuses in the work are metaphorical objects to mean the essence of human. The reason why a model jumped with an octopus is for showing the essential way to make heterogenetic relationship with their life’s space.
