Artist Statement

Henny is a filmmaker concerned with humanistic narratives executed in innovative ways. Since her dissertation in her final year Henny has discovered Artists’ Moving Image and has been exploring this genre in her film projects since. Her films involve a documentary style realism conveying aspects of the unconscious mind such as memories. She is influenced by classic video artists of the 1960’s such as Nam June Paik as well as feminist artist Pipilotti Rist.
