He graduated from the faculties of cinematography in 1970 and directing in 1975 at the State Higher School of Film, Television and Theater. Leon Schiller in Łódź .

As an artist, he was associated with avant-garde art. He was a co-founder and one of the pillars of the Lodz group Warsztat Formy Filmowej [3] . In the seventies, as a member of the Workshop, he participated in the international movement of structural cinema . The most important manifestation of this movement was the series of exhibitions "Film as Film". The first edition took place in Germany (Cologne, Stuttgart, Essen and Berlin) and the second one in 1978 in London. Member of the group " Zero-61 ". From 1981, a member of the "Internationales Künstler Gremium" in Germany [4]. In 1990–1992, President of Design in Process . Co-founder of the GUST Association (TeX System User Groups).

Bruszewski was a precursor of video art in Poland. As a filmmaker and creator of video art, he took part in art exhibitions, such as " documenta 6, documenta 8 " in Kassel or "Presences Polonaises" at the Pompidou Center in Paris .

In 1980 he became a DAAD scholarship holder in West Berlin. He represented the visual arts there. In the same year, Polish literature was represented by Kazimierz Brandys , and contemporary music by Bogusław Schaeffer  [Wikipedia].
